Pixable Now Lets You Browse Friends’ Twitter Photos and Videos
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 24, 2011
Pixable (http://www.pixable.com), known for helping find the best photos and videos shared in your social network, announced the integration of Twitter into its service today. Pixable now gathers and streams the photos and videos shared by friends on both Twitter and Facebook. The app organizes Twitter photos and videos into a customized feed pulling from Twitter’s native photo service as well as content shared from other services such as TwitPic, yFrog, Instagram, and YouTube among others.
“Millions of photos and videos are shared every day on Twitter, but discovering and viewing them is extremely difficult,” says Inaki Berenguer, CEO & Co-founder of Pixable. “They’re shared from different sources, buried under endless tweets, and hidden behind links. There is currently no way to browse the photos and videos shared by your friends. By integrating Twitter into Pixable we are giving our users access to even more photos and videos shared within their social networks, and also providing all Twitter users with a more visual and manageable approach to discover what their friends are sharing.”
Pixable’s integration of Twitter will provide the first way to visually explore the photos and videos shared through tweets. After connecting a Twitter account to Pixable, users can browse a feed of the photos and videos that their friends on Twitter have shared. Additionally, Pixable’s service continues to be personalized and shows content shared from each user’s own network of friends. Pixable users are now able to browse content shared from Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, Picplz, TwitPic, yFrog, Lockerz, YouTube, and Vimeo. The addition of Twitter further establishes Pixable’s position as the place to enjoy and discover what friends are sharing.
All Twitter users can enjoy the simple, elegant Pixable experience directly via the web at http://www.pixable.com. To start browsing friends’ photos shared on Twitter simply login to the free Pixable web application and select “Connect to Twitter” to connect your Twitter account. The Pixable web experience mirrors the user experience on the iPhone and the iPad. (Integration of Twitter is currently available on the web only — coming soon to iOS devices.)
