How I Received Massive Twitter Followers in less than 3 Weeks.

For a few months I only had 17 followers and I thought well enough is enough I want to find individuals who would like to follow me on Twitter.

How did I go from 17 to 2,852 followers (as of May 16, 2009)?

It was quite easy below I will show you exactly how I did it.

Twitter Log:

A little less than 3 weeks ago I picked up a program called Hummingbird CLICK HERE a bit expensive but found a trial download that was active for 35 hours. Personally I would like to get the program but a little shy on the cash right now to justify the expense but it would make things a bit easier.

With Hummingbird I jumped from 17 to around 1,400 followers with in 2 – 3 days.

Discovered that 1,000 a day follows (you following someone) was the max you could do in a 24 hour period.

NOTE: Another item I found out is that after 2,000 follows you have to be careful how you follow. The difference between follows and followers is a careful balance if you massively follow your account could be deleted. Try to keep the follows and followers within a 10% range.

Kinda stopped doing anything on Twitter execept for commenting for the next week or so.

Then on May 9, 2009 thought would try http://tweetergetter.com/bryanbracken and it helped get a few more followers.

I started manually following some people who were in my niche target area.

May 10, 2009 I started with Tweet Later great automation tool for giving someone a DM when they follow me and automatically follow a person when they follow you. Wow a time saver. (Free for basic. I use the basic.)

Also found a mass unfollow  http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/ when it works it works great cleans up those who don’t follow you quickly and FREE.

As I have been adding followers I continue to add a few each evening now not too many so I am not considered an aggressive follower but a few and …. Important.

Write a few tweets per day without trying to sell anything. Give good advice, tips, interesting facts in your life and you will see your followers go up.

My next step will be trying to get 10,000 followers within the next 3 months I think it is totally achievable.

Plus I am going to start in a couple of weeks trying to figure out how to monitize Twitter.
